His PowWowStep EP recently picked up an Indigenous Music Award for Best Instrumental Album and his music video for “Indomitable ft. Northern Cree Singers” picked up a nomination for Best EDM/Dance Video at the 2017 Much Music Video Awards.

DJ Shub counts two DMC Canada DJ Championship titles (2007 and 2008), a DMC Canadian Battle for Supremacy title (2008), a Canadian Red Bull Thre3style title (2012), and a King of the Dot Canada vs. USA DJ battle win along with a trophy from the JUNO Awards as some of his most notable accomplishments.

DJ Shub parted ways with A Tribe Called Red in 2014. His work with the group includes the JUNO Award winning album, Nation II Nation and their most popular single, “Electric Pow Wow Drum” (4,424,033 steams on Spotify).

“Played it for my high school class and they all started to move and throw their hands in the air. They said that’s pretty cool Mr. Wood! Judging by their action, I’d say it’s pretty darn electric.”
– Steve Wood, founder and lead singer of Northern Cree, on DJ Shub’s lead single entitled “Indomitable ft. Northern Cree”

“Shub is just a DJ that you can’t really out scratch… there’s really very few DJs out there who can out cut Shub.”
Vekked , 2015 DMC World Champion, on DJ Shub’s 2012 DJ battle performance for King of the Dot
